The wave of bad weather continues in the Centre-South and the yellow weather alert is triggered in Calabria for Thursday 5 February, with particular attention to the Tyrrhenian side, where markedly critical marine-coastal weather conditions are expected.
According to the forecast, widespread rainfall is expected, including showers or thunderstorms, especially in the Tyrrhenian sectors of the region. The phenomena may be locally strong, accompanied by sustained gusts of wind and electrical activity.
Strong winds up to gale force winds are also expected from the western quadrants, with consequent storm surges along the exposed coasts, which could cause disruption to maritime traffic and coastal activities.
Caution is recommended, particularly in the most exposed areas and along the coasts, and compliance with the instructions of the competent authorities.
