Victory for the debut for Jannik Sinner in Wimbledon. The number 1 in the world beat Luca Nardi in an Italian derby which ended on the score of 6-4 6-3 6-0. In the next round Sinner will have to deal with the Australian Aleksandar Vukicback from the victory over Chun-Hsin Tseng. It will be the previous third between Sinner and Vukic, the first in a Slam: the South Tyrolean won the first two comparisons, winning in two sets in Adelaide and Sofia.

Defeat to the debut for Lorenzo Musetti to Wimbledon. The blue, number 7 in the world, was surprised by the Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili, who entered the main scoreboard from the qualifications, capable of imposing himself with the score of 6-2 4-6 7-5 6-1. He then fades the possibility of seeing an Italian derby in the second round: Basilashvili will challenge Lorenzo Sonego, back from the victory over Jaime Faria.

The battle between qualified does not smile at Giulio Zeppieri. The blue, number 351 of the world and in its first participation in the main board of Wimbledon, was passed in a comeback in the first round by the Japanese Shintaro Mochizuki with a score of 2-6 6-3 7-6 (6) 7-5 in a match concluded today after the suspension of yesterday by darkness. Mochizuki (n. 144 ATP) will challenge the Russian Karen Khachanov, number 20 of the world ranking in the second round.
