The importance of pollinating insects, bees and beyond was discussed. Almost all food crops depends on their activity, the natural balance and the maintenance of biodiversity would compromise. In addition to climate change, the spread of hive diseases, the destruction of natural habitats, the excessive use of pesticides and on the incentives put in place to protect the sector, has also focused on the main threats.

The meeting ended with the award ceremony of Calabrian beekeepers who participated in the 2024 edition of the “Three Golden Drops” competition for the special section “Grandi Mieli di Calabria”.
