Great victory for Settebello, who beat Spain 8-6 to gain access to the final of the men’s water polo world championship, staged in Doha. The team coached by Sandro Campagna, in today’s first semi-final, defeated the Iberian team thanks to goals scored by Condemi (two), Di Fulvio (two), Fondelli (twice from a penalty), Velotto and Bruni. Italy’s goalkeeper Del Lungo stands out. Nice revenge for Settebello, defeated by Spain in the semi-finals of the recent European Championships. The Azzurri, four times world champions in history (in 1978, 1994, 2011 and 2019), will challenge the winner of the second semi-final, i.e. the Croatia-France match, in the final to win the gold medal on Saturday. For the Settebello it will be the eighth final at the men’s water polo World Championships.
