After a Sunday morning spent at Biodiversity Park with “Barefoot on the grass”, the yoga meeting hosted by Vincenzo Boscoa student of Sathya Sai Baba in India, who, at the end of the weekend “Between East and West”, led us to the rediscovery of Prana and inner energy, as well as to the practice of Hatha yoga, the Autumn Festival prepares for the three days of “Napul’è” , dedicated to Naples and Neapolitan music. The incipit is entrusted to one of the most anticipated events of the 2024 edition, the musical “Sea Outside”, offered as a regional exclusive.

While waiting for the fifth television season, the countdown has begun Wednesday 30 Octoberwhen at 9pm in the Politeama Theatre the curtain will open on the theatrical version of the very popular TV series, which has attracted millions of viewers all over the world, enriched by the original soundtrack and the direction of Alessandro Siani – with choreography by Marcello and Mommo Sacchettathe scenes of Roberto Crea and the customs of Eleonora Rella. The debut in Catanzaro inaugurates the new tour in the major theaters throughout Italy, which will probably confirm the records of the past season, rewarded by sold out on every date, for a total of over 100 thousand spectators.

Some of the performers who give faces to the most beloved characters of the television series will arrive at the Politeama: the splendid one will be there Maria Esposito (Rosa Ricci), Enrico Tijani (Dobermann), Giuseppe Pirozzi (Micciarella), Antonio Orefice (Totò of the first two seasons), Anthony D’Aquino (Milos) And Carmen Pommella (one of the guards from the TV version). One of the most anticipated characters is that of the educator Beppe, central to the whole story: in this version he will be played by the singer-songwriter Andrea Sannino.

You are among the protagonists of one of the most watched Italian series of all time. How does this make you feel? Are you ever afraid of disappointing the audience who loves you so much?

«I was chosen by Alessandro Siani as the protagonist of the musical – said the singer-songwriter Andrea SanninoMine is a musical journey, so “Mare Fuori” is a new world with great responsibilities. The musical had extraordinary numbers, exceeding expectations, but what matters most is the message it carries. In fact, I was convinced by the warning of hope that he sends to young people, many songs written by Alessandro embody the desire for redemption».

Some anecdotes during these tours: Has anyone ever done something crazy to see you up close or take a selfie?

«The extraordinary thing that happened to us is that, despite starting each show at 9pm, even at two in the afternoon we found people already in line waiting for us. Sometimes I ask myself: would I do it for someone else? Maybe not, but this shows how strong the relationship with our audience is».

Did you ever think you would achieve similar success while filming the first season of the television series?
«Absolutely not – he added Antonio OreficeI can say that true success came through unawareness. We went on set lightly, great harmony reigned, we were happy together. And this was the right path».

What is the secret, in your opinion, that keeps all these spectators glued, both to TV and to the theatre, to see Mare Fuori?

«The authenticity of the product, the presence of real characters, our personal experience – Goldsmith said again – When we were on set, we didn’t need to step on each other’s toes, but we wanted to really talk about the project. We teamed up in a successful way, which allowed us to talk about ourselves in 360 degrees together with our characters».

They will complete the cast Mattia Zenzola, Giulia Luzi, Emanuele Palumbo, Leandro Amato, Antonio Rocco, Christiano Roberto, Giulia Molino, Bianca Moccia, Angelo Caianiello, Pasquale Brunetti, Yuri Pascale Langer, Sveva Petruzzellis, Anna Capasso, Fabio Alterio, Benedetta Vari.

«The one at the Politeama Theater is the only date in Calabria of the musical Mare Fuori, which concludes its Italian tour this year – underlined the artistic director of the Autumn Festival Antonietta Santacroce -. This means that the Catanzaro show is the last opportunity to see live the protagonists of this globally successful television series which has made Naples more known throughout the world: from the United States to Canada, to Latin America, as well as in Germany, France and the Nordic countries. The series has reached incredible ratings all over the world and we are happy to be able to offer our audience a show that is so important for the message it sends, but also for the extraordinary success that accompanies it and the fame that precedes it. Deserved fame because it is a demanding show from a technical point of view, majestic in its scenography and special effects, full of actors, dancers, singers who will give new life and liveliness to the Politeama theatre”.
