All you need is a pair of comfortable shoes and the desire to go out without haste to find yourself part of something. It is on this simplicity that “Walk with us” is based, the format promoted by Eventi in Movimento, which offers walks of 10-13 kilometers every other week, on Sunday morning.
The goal is not performance, but sharing. This is not a demanding excursion or an athletic challenge: everyone proceeds at their own pace, but together. Those who are better trained don’t “switch off”, those who walk calmly don’t fall behind. The group adapts and maintains a common pace, transforming physical activity into an opportunity to meet.
An appointment that creates relationships
In the daily frenzy, between work, school and commitments, relationships risk being reduced to quick greetings and messages. The Sunday walk thus becomes a real space for relationships: we converse while walking, we share silence when necessary, we intertwine stories. It is the continuity of the appointment, rather than the exceptional nature of the event, that makes the difference.
Participation confirms the inclusive spirit of the initiative: no age limit, just the desire to be together. Children, adults, older people and families have taken part in the outings already carried out. On one of the walks on February 22nd, two 3-year-old children with their mothers also joined the group. A clear signal: you don’t need to be sporty, but want to share an experience.
Territory and nature at the center of the route
The routes do not only concern Pianopoli, but also involve nearby towns, chosen to guarantee safe, smooth and accessible itineraries for all. Secondary roads, lesser-known views and crossing points that for many were just names become stages of a collective rediscovery of the territory.
A central element is also the contact with nature: the greenery that changes with the seasons, the morning air, the fountains along the way, the fruits that you learn to recognise. Walking together makes the experience more serene and accessible, encouraging even those who, alone, would not feel like leaving.
For Eventi in Movimento the bet is on continuity: not an isolated episode, but a journey over time capable of strengthening ties and enhancing the territory. The presence of participants who also come from outside testifies to the format’s ability to create hospitality and a sense of belonging.
Because the point is not just to move, but to find yourself. And doing it on Sunday morning can become the easiest way to rediscover energy, well-being and community.
