A simple gesture, but full of meaning. On the occasion of Easter, FAILP CISAL Calabria – represented by the regional secretary Ester Cicero and the union leader Filippo Fontana – chose to be present alongside the children hospitalized in the Pediatrics department of the Great Metropolitan Hospital of Reggio Calabria, alongside the initiative “An egg for a smile” promoted by the ABIO (Association for Children in Hospital).
Games and Easter eggs distributed to young patients: a concrete way of saying that no one should feel alone, not even within the walls of a hospital. Cicero and Fontana underlined how the initiative was born from the desire to bring human warmth and real closeness to children and families in a delicate moment, transforming a festive gesture into an act of authentic solidarity.
The medical staff of the department, directed by Dr. Rita Agnello, welcomed the visit with great appreciation, recognizing how moments like this positively impact the treatment path of young patients.
The president of ABIO, Giovanna Curatola, expressed gratitude to FAILP CISAL Calabria for the sensitivity demonstrated, underlining the value of a union presence that goes beyond the scope of work to touch the more human dimension of the community.
CISAL thus confirms its vocation: not only protection of workers, but an active presence in the social fabric of Calabria.
