A drone crashed into a residential building in the city of Galați, in Romania, a NATO member country. The accident caused a fire. Two people were slightly injured. This was reported by the RBC-Ukraine agency, citing Faytuks Network and the official Facebook page of the Romanian Emergency Service.

It is assumed that it is a Russian drone, since at that time the Russian Federation was carrying out a massive drone attack in the Odessa region, and Galați is located not far from that region.

According to the Emergency Service (ISU), the drone fell on a residential building and, following the impact, an explosion occurred which caused a fire in an apartment on the tenth floor.

“During the night of May 28-29, the Russian Federation resumed drone attacks on civilian and infrastructure targets in Ukraine, near the river border with Romania,” the ministry said. Romania defined the incursion, with the related violation of airspace, “a serious and irresponsible escalation”, as reported by various media including the Ukrainian agency RBC, AFP and CBS. Bucharest has already informed the NATO secretary general.

We are preparing a 21st package of sanctions.”
