The community of Reggio Calabria is deeply shocked by the death of Antonio Labate. Late on Sunday evening, the young man lost his life in a car accident that occurred in the southern outskirts of the city.
The facts
The tragedy occurred around 11.30pm in via San Sperato, where the boy, for reasons still under investigation by investigators, lost control of the motorbike he was riding. According to an initial reconstruction, the vehicle hit a motorcycle parked along the road before ending its run against a wall.
The impact was particularly violent and the centaur’s condition immediately appeared very serious. The 118 health workers intervened on site, provided first aid and arranged emergency transport to the Grand Metropolitan Hospital. Despite the doctors’ attempts, the young man died shortly after hospitalization due to the serious injuries sustained in the crash.

The agents of the Local Police of Reggio Calabria also arrived in via San Sperato and carried out the necessary investigations to precisely reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.
Informed of the incident, the magistrate on duty took over the investigation, ordering the necessary investigations. The vehicles involved were seized.
