US Vibonese Calcio officially turns the page. With an official note, the rossoblù club announced the transfer of 60% of the company shares to the entrepreneurial consortium led by Cosimo Vullo, who thus becomes the new majority shareholder of the association.

The members’ meeting is expected in the next few hours to define the new organizational chart, with the assignment of the presidency and operational roles. The complete management teams will be made official at the end of the work.

Thanks to the old management and the federal deadlines

The press release also marks the handover with the historic previous management: special thanks were addressed to the Caffo Group and its partner Pippo Caffo for their commitment over the years. The continuity guaranteed in the most complex months allowed the team to achieve safety on the pitch in the last championship.

Gratitude also expressed towards the interim commissioner Rino Putrino (future president of the club?), the mayor of Vibo Valentia Enzo Romeo and all the minority members who have secured the stability of the club in the transition phase.

Race against time for registration: On the bureaucratic front, the new ownership is already working to settle the financial debts of the season that has just ended. An obligatory step to formally close the year and proceed regularly with registration for the next Serie D championship.

The technical project: the new sporting director chosen

On a purely sporting level, the market machine has already started moving. The company has made it known that it has already identified the new sporting director (in all likelihood Fabrizio Maglia), considered the priority figure around which to plan the season and future market operations. The name of the new DS, however, will be revealed only after the definition of the new corporate organizational chart.

The first words of the new patron Cosimo Vullo

The new majority shareholder wanted to send a clear message to the public, focusing everything on the connection with the territory and on a low profile:

«We have embraced the Vibonese cause because this is a club with an important history and coat of arms, which belong to the entire community. Our first objective is to bring fans and citizens closer to the rossoblù colours: we don’t make promises, but we ask them to judge us on the work and quality of the project. The bond with the territory and with our people will be the solid basis on which to build an ambitious and lasting path.”
