The deaths in the shooting that occurred last night during a food festival in Seattle, a block from the iconic Space Needle, have risen to three. This was reported by CNN, which cites the authorities.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene and four others, the youngest of whom was 2 years old, were transported to Harborview Medical Center, the fire department said. Another person later showed up at another hospital with a gunshot wound, authorities added. In last night’s press conference, Seattle Deputy Police Chief Tyrone Davis said that one of the victims who was hospitalized later died. The suspected attacker has been arrested, but authorities are still searching for a person believed to be involved in the shooting, Davis added, while Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson initially said two people had been arrested. According to an initial reconstruction, the shooting began when two people opened fire on each other, involving others present: the investigations, the police specified, are still ongoing and “there is no threat to the community”.
