«We will miss the professional love that our Master, the lawyer Sergio Calabrese, always dedicated to us». Thus begins the letter from the Criminal Chamber of Cosenza «Gullo» dedicated to the dean Sergio Calabrese, in memory of his teaching and the bond with his colleagues.
At the center of the message is the last lesson held in the headquarters of the Criminal Chamber, which Calabrese wanted to address to the numerous young criminal lawyers: «I am and will always be with you, with your robes, with your passion, with your courage to feel and be lawyers. Be proud of it, always.”
The letter also recalls the embrace with the lawyer Ninì Feraco, defined as “the most powerful gesture of the Bar of which, unfortunately, we are all orphans”.
«Yes, from today, we feel even more alone, in the solitude of the criminal lawyer; but more responsible in trying to be custodians of the principles and values given to us by the Golden Toga of the Calabrian lawyer”, continues the message, which ends with a “Thank you Master”.
