Giugliano. Cosenza takes the lead but is caught up and overtaken by Giugliano. Coppitelli’s boys thus return empty-handed from the trip to Campania. A hard-fought first half, Cosenza started well with a poisonous diagonal from McJannet and Bolletta who blocked it. In the 13th minute the former La Vardera dangerous with a left-footed shot that ends well wide. Shortly after, Improta unleashes a right-footed shot from a free kick which hits the far post. In the 23rd minute cross from the right by Clemente, crushing header by Petrovic who scores. After a control check the referee validates the rossoblu advantage. In the 36th minute Iliev comes out and lands in the Esposito area, referee Gavini has no doubts and decrees the penalty. From the spot, the other former Varone makes no mistakes and makes it 1-1. In the 41st minute Barone tries with a shot from outside, Bolletta dives and clears it for a corner. In the 45th minute, a curling free kick to La Vardera’s far post from a tight angle on the right, Iliev punches the ball out and goes behind him to make it 2-1 for the home team. At the beginning of the second half, a red card was given to Ibe, for a prohibited hit on Dametto, and Giugliano with ten men. In the 67th minute Petrovic’s shot was blocked by Bolletta at the feet of the new player Energe who was the quickest and made it 2-2. Giugliano doesn’t accept it and attacks even with the man less, in the 76th minute Improta’s free kick hits the far post from Balde due to De Rosa’s flick which pierces Iliev to make it 3-2. Two minutes later Balde controls the area and hits the rossoblu goalkeeper again, 4-2. Just before the 90th minute, Balde again escapes between Sila’s colabrodo defense and assists De Rosa in tow who scores the 5-2 and his personal brace. In injury time another billiard shot from Balde who hits the post with a delightful lob. Late night for Coppitelli’s boys who return home with their heads very low.
