The prevention and fight against irregular immigration activities conducted by the Cosenza State Police continue. As part of the constant monitoring of the foreign population detained in the prisons of the province, the Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters has identified and transferred a foreign citizen deemed socially dangerous for public order and safety.
The man, convicted of mistreatment against family members or cohabitants and aggravated personal injury, had numerous police records and was already the recipient of a previous expulsion order which he had not complied with. Faced with his concrete social danger, the Police Commissioner of Cosenza ordered his detention at the Repatriation Center (CPR) in Potenza, in application of article 6 of the Consolidated Law on Immigration.
