In the last few hours a fire started in the square in front of the premises that housed the former analysis laboratory of the “San Giovanni di Dio” hospital in Crotone. The rescue and safety machine was activated instantly: the prompt action and professionalism demonstrated by the hospital’s internal fire service staff, who arrived immediately on site, together with the timely and decisive intervention of the Fire Brigade, made it possible to immediately contain the flames and completely prevent their spread to the adjacent structures.
The Medical Directorate of the Presidio”, led by Dr. Lucio Cosentino, and the General Directorate of the Provincial Health Company, directed by Dr. Antonio Graziano, are keen to firmly reassure the citizens and the community of users: the episode was managed in complete safety, there was no damage to people or to the surrounding health facilities, and the operation of all the departments and welfare services of the “San Giovanni di Dio” continues in full and uninterrupted regularity.
Currently, the Fire Brigade is completing the usual procedures for the complete safety of the affected area and carrying out the technical surveys necessary to ascertain exactly the causes that generated the start of the fire.
