The return to the polls for the municipal elections is still far away, but the city is already in turmoil. In fact, the “Taormina 20-28” platform was born, with the aim of building a political alternative composing a political mosaic that, involving the opposition forces in an orderly and compact manner, carries out an action both of proposal for the future and of healthy and constructive criticism of the current municipal administration.
“The creation of this platform, as well as its evolution, is characterized by a sharing of the future vision of Taormina and the desire to represent, not only in form but also in substance, a real alternative – explain the promoters – and the goal is to work for the people of Taormina, putting aside parochialism and small feuds that should have nothing to do with the management of public affairs and with political action in particular. We want to start again from the strengths that have allowed Taormina to reach a worldwide fame that, for too long now, has been subject to the erosion of a lazy inertia and that, Administration after Administration, is fading”.
The group “Progetto Ricostruzione Taormina” has already joined the platform with the minority councilor Luke Manuli and the members Elisa Aucello, Carlotta Papale and Marco Raowith the mandate to discuss and agree on proposals for the city.
