A multifaceted figure. Sarto, stylist, master of elegance, creative, was a guest in Cosenza, in 2009, of the Movie Festival. Sante Orrico wanted him to deliver the Special Award as a sign of esteem and a friendship born within Confartigianato. In recent days Orrico wanted to remember Luciano Grella, national president of Confartigianato Moda who passed away in 2024, on the occasion of the presentation of the book dedicated to him – “You have made the world more beautiful. Now you will have to redo the wardrobe to the angels” – written by his son Umberto and inserted among the meetings of the South Italy Fashion Week directed by Giada Falcone.
Walking among the valuable works of the National Gallery, Umberto Grella recalled his father’s commitment, attentive to young people and social issues, in the enhancement of Italian craftsmanship. Objectives that are also found in the project that Sante Orrico has been carrying out for 29 years, and which will soon see its final public phase with the events of 9 and 10 June between Cosenza and Rende.
“My father inspired me a lot – said Grella – in terms of creativity, commitment, ethical sense, and above all he transmitted me to try us, who is the characteristic of people who achieve important results”.
“A beautiful person and a conductor”, according to Orrico, who recalled its skills and generosity, and the synergy born between two related personalities for concreteness and commitment.
