The final turnout in Castrovillari for the second round of the local elections was 54.35%, down compared to the first round when it was 61.53%. The challenge in the run-off is between Anna De Gaio, outgoing municipal councilor of Fratelli d’Italia and president of the regional commission for Equal Opportunities, mayoral candidate for the centre-right, who won 43.59% of the preferences in the first round, and Ernesto Bello, expression of the centre-left area, who obtained 27.70%.
In San Giovanni in Fiore the definitive turnout recorded was 53.29%, a slight decrease compared to the 55.95% of the first round. Here the comparison is between the centre-right candidate Marco Ambrogio, who obtained 45.24% in the first round, and Antonio Barile who, supported by a civic list, won 26.22% of the votes. Ambrogio is the outgoing municipal councilor and husband of Rosaria Succurro, the mayor who left office after being elected to the regional council last October.
In Mandatoriccio (municipality under 15 thousand inhabitants, voting because the outcome of the first round ended in perfect equality): turnout at 55.23%, in the first round at the same time the turnout was 52.24%.
