Alert in Kiev: “Putin is launching a missile attack on the capital”

Ukrainian authorities launched a nationwide air alert this morning to respond to a Russian missile attack on Kiev. President Vladimir «Putin is launching a missile attack» on the capitalsays Ukrainian Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak on Telegram.

The attack

Russian forces launched a combined attack with missiles and drones on Kiev this morning for the first time in 73 days: this was announced by the military administration of the Ukrainian capital. Air-launched cruise missiles, ballistic missiles (KN-23, KN-24 and Iskander-M) and drones (Shahed, Geran, Gerbera and Parodya) were used. The air alert was triggered at 7.30 local time (6.30 in Italy), when drones were detected coming from the east. At the same time, cruise missiles were already approaching the region. The attack lasted more than 2 hours and there is currently no information on casualties or damage.
