Roseto degli Abruzzi hosted the Italian Boxing Championship from 13 to 16 November, an official event organized by the Italian Boxing Federation. Among the most brilliant protagonists of the edition stands out the young Castrovillarese Antonio Oliveto, athlete in the 50 kg Under 15 category, who won the Italian title by climbing to the top step of the podium.
At just 14 years old, Antonio has demonstrated maturity, technique and great determination. Flanked by master Vincenzo Oliveto, he faced four days of intense combat, overcoming each opponent with growing authority until reaching the final. The last match, fought with clarity and courage, ended with a unanimous victory by the jury, which awarded him the gold medal and the prestigious national title.
For the young boxer this is a milestone that crowns a path of constant growth. Already last year, in his first important experience, Antonio had won a promising bronze medal, marking the beginning of a career that today finds even stronger confirmation. The success achieved in Roseto degli Abruzzi is not only a source of pride for Castrovillari and his club, but an important signal for Italian youth boxing, which continues to valorise talents capable of showing passion, discipline and sporting spirit.
Antonio Oliveto, with his teacher at his side, now looks to the future with renewed enthusiasm and ever higher ambitions.
