April 25, at the altar of the homeland the national anthem, then the silence

During tomorrow’s ceremony for the 80th anniversary of the liberation at the altar of the homeland, only the national anthem followed then by the song “Il Piave” and then the traditional silence will be played. These are the rules that regulate the ceremonial during national mourning.

During military ceremonies, in fact, all the flags of military installations and naval units are exhibited at half auction, while the war flags are “shortened” with a black veil. Furthermore, there is no contribution of honors to the authorities during the national mourning, except for the President of the Republic, to which the honors are however limited and rendered by detention.

Today, therefore, no other musical or ceremonial accompaniment is expected for other state offices in all the ceremonies that will take place on the national territory. The only exceptions concern the flags of the altar of the homeland and the military sacraments who always remain hoisted as a perpetual memory symbol towards the fallen. On the same day, the bands and military trumpeters will play in all the locations of ceremony exclusively in the phases of honors to the fallen.
