Attraction of investments, Region promotes meeting on Baker Hughes settlement in Corigliano-Rossano

“After a specific request that emerged during the last meeting with the unions, today the president of the Calabria Region, Roberto Occhiutoorganized a video call regarding the event of the establishment of the multinational Baker Hughes in the Municipality of Corigliano-Rossano, in which the regional and provincial secretary of the CGIL took part, Married Angel And Giuseppe Guidothe regional and provincial secretary of the CISL, Tonino Russo And Giuseppe Laviathe provincial secretary of Uil (who also spoke on behalf of his regional secretary Holy Blond), Paolo Cretellathe president of the Port System Authority of the Southern Tyrrhenian and Ionian Seas, Andrea Agostinellithe mayor of Corigliano-Rossano, Flavio Stasi, and the Councilor for Economic Development of the Region, Rosario Vari”. This is what we read in a note from the Calabria Region.

“It has been decided – continues the note – that a table will be opened between the Calabria Region and the Municipality of Corigliano-Rossano regarding the construction of the cruise pier and how to improve the condition of the seafaring in the Port, and that the System Authority Portuale will send the port master plan to the Calabrian municipality tomorrow in order to allow the technical offices to express the urban planning opinion necessary for the settlement of Baker Hughes. Mayor Flavio Stasi confirmed that the administration has no prejudice against of this investment, underlining the importance of concertation between all the actors involved in order to materialize this opportunity as soon as possible and allow a general and integrated development of the Port”.
