Two more civil protection financial interventions were approved today by the government, on the minister’s proposal Nello Musumeciconcerning Emilia Romagna and the Calabria. In the first intervention, a note from the Ministry of Civil Protection explains, the government declared a state of emergency in the provinces of Piacenza, Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna and Ravenna due to the exceptional wave of bad weather that occurred between 23 October and early November of last year. To cover the initial expenses, the sum of 11 million and 800 thousand euros has been allocated. We will proceed with orders from the Civil Protection Department, having acquired the agreement of the Region, in derogation of any provisions in force.
The other resolution concerns the allocation of 15 million and 650 thousand euros to deal with the calamitous interventions that between the end of November and the beginning of December 2022 affected some areas of the province of Crotone, Catanzaro and Cosenza. The sums are added to those already allocated by the government last May for an amount of 3 million and 250 thousand euros.
