The Catanzaro preliminary hearing judge accepted the findings raised by the lawyers Sorgiovanni, Mauro, Bavaro and Gervasi on issues relating to the use of sky chats, etc. This is the first case in Italy. A request to freeze the investigative data collected in France was presented with the EIO (European Investigation Order) and a request to verify the existence of a measure recognizing or executing the EIO by the French authorities against the defendants. This would result in the possibility of the suspension of the French trial, if they were investigated in France, or the impossibility for the defendants to challenge the EIO in the executing State, with a potential violation of the rights of defence.
