A fight outside a club, a stabbing and now the ban for a year from frequenting public establishments and places of public entertainment in Bagnara Calabra in the evening and night hours. This is the measure adopted by the police commissioner of Reggio Calabria against five local people involved in the violent quarrel that occurred on the night of March 1st. Dacur’s measures, the ban on access to urban areas, were notified by the carabinieri of the Bagnara Calabra station.

The measure provides that the five cannot access or stay, every day, from 7pm to 7am the following morning, in public establishments and public entertainment venues in the municipal area. The fight broke out outside a public business in the city center and, according to what was reconstructed by investigators, culminated in the stabbing of one of the participants.

The administrative measure comes on the prevention front, while on the criminal level all five were reported to the judicial authorities for aggravated brawling. One of them was also charged with carrying weapons or objects capable of offending. Then there is a sixth reported. For him, the accusation is one of personal aiding and abetting: according to the investigators he tried to hinder the investigations by providing a version of the facts deemed not to correspond to reality, with the aim of favoring one of the perpetrators and ensuring his impunity.

The Dacur, established by the commissioner as part of the prevention measures, aims to prevent the people involved from returning to frequent the same places in the time slots considered most at risk, those in which the presence in public places and establishments is concentrated. The provision will last one year and concerns access to and permanence in the premises identified in the Bagnara Calabra area.
