«I believe that this attitude of the government is simply shameful, as it actually demonstrates the utmost indifference for our territory. It proves what we have always said. Calabria has many transport problems but the only concern for this minister is only the bridge for which he saves on our lives by mortifying our sacrosanct right to mobility”.
This was stated in a statement by the regional councilor of Calabria and former deputy of the 5 Star Movement, Elisabetta Barbuto, in relation to the government’s rejection, announced by the M5s deputy Vittoria Baldino, of the amendment which aimed to renew the territorial continuity for the Crotone airport with the flight to Rome.
Barbuto recalls «the previous attempts to safeguard the trade. I had already requested this amendment since last summer – he states – to refinance continuity. Not only was the amendment not taken into consideration, but even today they are rejecting the agenda, declining any commitment and washing their hands of Crotone and the people of Crotone.”
