The Calabria Region presented the announcement “Inauguration young farmers”in the process of publication by the Rural Agriculture and Development Department. The announcement is financed with the new programming of European funds for agriculture CSR 2023/2027, and is highly awaited in the sector and professional organizations: the last intervention in support of the new settlements of young people in agriculture dates back to 2018.

Beneficiaries are the young agricultural entrepreneurs aged 18 to 41 years old who have settled for the first time in a farm as head of the company upon presentation of a company plan for the development of agricultural activity. The financial endowment of the announcement is equal to 40 million: the grant is for a maximum amount of € 100 thousand of which 70% for the construction of the company plan 30% of dry premium for the first settlement. The announcement expires on July 31st. “With this new measure – said the regional councilor Gallo – we aim to establish more than 400 young people. We believe a lot to this extent because at this moment there is also enthusiasm, there is attention to the Calabrian agriculture and because young people have an extra gear.
