There are three people investigated for the death of little Simona Vanessa Szilagyi, the girl of just 8 years old, of Romanian origin, who died drowned in the pool of the “Santa Chiara” water park in Rende. The prosecutor of Cosenza, coordinated by the chief prosecutor Vincenzo Capomolla, opened a file on the tragic disappearance of the girl. The suspects are defended by the lawyers Giuseppe De Marco, Francesco Turco and Ugo Ledonne. From a first reconstruction of the story and according to the testimonies of the bathers present, the girl would enter the pool along a meter in the water, but at a certain point she would have lost contact with the bottom of the swimming pool. Immediate rescue also by two nurses not in service that were present in the structure and who tried to revive the little girl. But for her there was nothing to do. From what emerged the girl was in the water park together with some adult family members. The structure was seized. The investigations are coordinated by the captain of the Carabinieri Company of Rende Andrea Aiello.
