Slopes closed in Camigliatello due to the high temperatures which prevented the artificial snow layer from being maintained.
The official communication arrived on Sunday, with the stop on both the red and blue slopes. The climatic conditions did not allow the workers to guarantee adequate coverage, despite the snow conservation measures.
Stop for safety reasons
The decision is based exclusively on reasons related to the safety and security of skiers. The absence of a stable and uniform layer makes the use of the systems impractical.
The closure concerns the entire Camigliatello ski area, pending an improvement in weather conditions that will allow the slopes to be restored.
A situation that confirms, once again, the difficulties of the winter season on the Sila plateau, strongly conditioned by the anomalous trend in temperatures.
