These are days of apprehension for the disappearance of a 46-year-old originally from Lazio who has lived in Capo d’Orlando for years, Maricka Onorato, of whom there has been no news since last week.

It was his partner who reported his disappearance. In particular, the man told the police that the last contact with his partner dates back to the morning of May 7, when she accompanied him to work. Maricka should also have gone to her place of work in a commercial establishment in the Paladin municipality where she is employed as a sales assistant, but apparently no one has seen her again.

Trying in vain to track her down, the man returned home and found the bag containing his partner’s personal effects, including the mobile phone and the car keys, duly parked under the house.

Statements that were promptly verified by the soldiers of the Company of Sant’Agata Militello who started the investigations. At the moment the main hypothesis remains that of voluntary removal, pending the execution of further investigative investigations, also with the support of the images from the video surveillance systems, to understand whether the woman may have moved from the Orlandino center to reach other locations using public transport.

The carabinieri of the town in Lazio where some of Maricka’s relatives and acquaintances live, whose disappearance was also covered by the television show “Chi l’ha Visto?”, were also involved in the search, but they reported that they had not had any contact with her.
