Caserta at the Paris Olympic Games, ambassador of the best of Calabria

This was stated by the President of the Regional Council Filippo Mancuso, commenting on the recent Olympic qualification of the 2002 class obtained after the brilliant result at the Settecolli 2024 Trophy held at the Foro Italico in Rome. Mancuso added: “Results like Giovanni Caserta’s enhance a sporting discipline like swimming, complete, synonymous with health and well-being, which teaches you not to give up at the first difficulties and above all highlights the ability to work as a system, throughout the regional territory, by FIN Calabria, the widespread swimming clubs, the technicians and enthusiasts who are very attentive to cultivating talents and making them grow. Giovanni Caserta’s story is an example and a source of inspiration for all young Calabrians, because it shows that with commitment and perseverance, the greatest dreams can come true”. The president of the highest Calabrian assembly concluded: “This is a useful opportunity, a few weeks before the start of the Olympic Games and on behalf of the entire Regional Council of Calabria, to wish Giovanni Caserta and all our athletes who will participate in Paris 2024, the best for this unique adventure, aware that they will represent Italy and Calabria to the fullest on the stage of the Olympics, inspiring the world with their extraordinary commitment and dedication to sport”.
