Catanzaro, “capital” sports facilities? It would take years and many resources

To put a hand to the sports facilities of the capital, seriously transforming it into something “of the capital”, it would take years and a lot of money. Resolving a negative situation that has dragged on for decades, from administration to administration, is a titanic undertaking, so it’s not as if a Sports (Heritage) councilor in office for just over two weeks can afford who knows what. But a realistic picture of the situation, and of the possibilities for intervention in a sector in which “everything is a priority” is in order.
In short, Antonio Battaglia has a lot of things to do since, last September 18th, he received the delegations from the mayor Nicola Fiorita. Always keeping in mind that, in addition to economic resources, there is also a lack of human resources (the municipal sector has only one employee) and a strong and equipped social context: «Because the structures are expensive and many associations cannot afford much, which is why the road it is always very narrow, but the moment is such that either we collaborate or we collapse. Citizens must also understand that miracles cannot be achieved, but it must be said that there is starting to be a different sensitivity on the topic”, underlines the councilor.
