Catanzaro Police and Guardia di Finanza pay homage to the Carabinieri who fell in Castel d’Azzano

Colleagues from the Police Force standing at attention in front of the Calabria Carabinieri Legion Command and the Lamezia Terme Group. On the day of national mourning and state funerals, also in Catanzaro and its province, the State Police and the Guardia di Finanza laid a cushion of flowers, expressing closeness to the Carabinieri, struck by the tragic event in Castel d’Azzano, in the province of Verona, where three soldiers of the force lost their lives and other members of the police force were injured following the explosion of a farmhouse.

In Catanzaro, the Provincial Commander of the Carabinieri, Colonel Giovanni Pellegrino, received the tribute from the Police Headquarters’ cars and deeply appreciated the initiative, thanking his colleagues for the emotional gesture of solidarity and the institutional courtesy shown in this tragic moment.

Similar initiative in Lamezia Terme, where the Commander of the Carabinieri Group, Lieutenant Colonel Gianluca Zara welcomed the gesture of closeness and condolences from colleagues from the local Public Security Commissioner, the Guardia di Finanza Group and the Local Police.

The agents and financiers, positioning the vehicles solemnly with flashing lights on as a sign of respect, lined up in a position of attention, paid homage to their fallen colleagues, in a solemn gesture that moved everyone present.

The demonstrations of closeness expressed by colleagues from the State Police and the Guardia di Finanza in memory of the three Carabinieri who died in the performance of duty represent a tangible sign of common commitment and inseparable solidarity between the police forces, united in the constant effort to guarantee the safety and protection of citizens.
