He is still threatening to throw himself from the balcony of an apartment in the heart of Reggio Calabria. A young woman (presumably from Eastern Europe) continues to express the intention of suicide right on Corso Garibaldi, near the municipal villa a few meters from the police headquarters building.
Police officers, carabinieri and firefighters were on site. Also present were the Police Headquarters units specialized in negotiations and dialogues of persuasion and conviction typical of these dramatic events.
The lady of Romanian nationality was rescued. Tired and in the throes of a probable illness, she risked falling. The timely and immediate intervention of the negotiators made it safe.
