Ten million euros to complete the redevelopment of the “Ceravolo”, three more than expected.
The announcement in a political convention gave it the president of the regional council Filippo Mancuso. Beyond the context in which it was done, this further funding is also institutional: the Region guarantees it, which had already allocated three of it last summer, to adapt the system to the standards of the Serie B, and had initially set aside six others for a series of structural works: “The funding was nine million in all – explained Mancuso -, then in a technical meeting with Catanzaro, the President Noto, the mayor Fiorita and the councilors of the Common, it emerged that those nine million deliberated so far are not enough to complete the necessary works, so they asked me and have obtained three million more ».
What will happen now? The Municipality and the Region will have to sign the agreement for the nine million, which are added to the million PNRR for the coverage of the Tribune (whose works, although not left, were entrusted to the Sicilian Consortium “Krea”).
When will the signing of the agreement take place? Probably by spring, in this way the time would give Palazzo De Nobili to ban the race to entrust the design. Once the certainty of the funds have had, at the Town Hall they count to complete the bureaucratic process within a month and start at least a part of the interventions at the end of the football season, then in the summer. The intention is never to close the stadium, even if it will be necessary to do it with some sectors.
