The exponent of the Democratic Party Lidia Vescio He explains, with a pinch of regret in the South Gazzetta why he will not participate in the Assembly of the Democratic Party members, who, among other things, has not even been officially convened. Vescio had been proposed by the young Democratic and a dem group as an alternative to the candidacy for mayor of Doris Lo Moro. The assembly of the members on the weekend should have chosen democratically between Vescio and Moro. But now there is the step back in Vescio, which in fact leaves the ex -parliamentary demand for free.
“At a time when there is a lot of talk about units and comparison within the Democratic Party – underlines Lidia Vescio – I believe that there are no conditions for a constructive participation in the Assembly of members. The atmosphere of constant antagonism, which has been created does not allow a true political dialogue and risks transforming the encounter into a real clash between members, rather than in a moment of synthesis and sharing. For these reasons, with regret, I decided not to take part in the assembly. Despite the availability for comparison, albeit late, of the Hon. Lo Moro, the side climate does not allow me and does not allow us – at this moment – to continue. However, I will continue my commitment for the good and unity of the party and the community that I represent, in the hope that we will soon find that spirit of dialogue and mutual respect that should be the basis of our political action ».
Vescio had communicated to the city commissioner Domenico Giampà for two days his will to not want to participate in the assembly. “There have been unpleasant situations that do not make me Serena – added Vescio – a group of members probably did not see our proposal for comparison with the Hon.
