Here we are: the Bel Paese delle Serre Cosentine is ready for an important, historical turning point. The first citizen is convinced of this, Lucio Di Gioiawho has met, in recent days, some of the protagonists and professionals put in place for a new idea of development. Francesco Perridirector of the Conservatory of Cosenza, Carlo Fanelli Associate Professor at the Department of Humanities of the University of Calabria, Anna Infante for Plan B and the entire government team committed to enhancing structures, territory and goods.
The idea? The Municipality decides to identify itself as “factory”, a incubator and “creativity construction site” to be built inside the Palazzo Sersale; A space dedicated to the dialogue between art, technology and science, favoring contamination between different knowledge for the growth of the reference community and beyond. Through the factory, the village will be able to attract new inhabitants (artists, creatives, talents, innovators, etc.) interface with the best excellence in the sector. The focus of the project is the Palazzo Sersale
which will be for use as a cultural hub hosting training spaces, conference rooms, music,
library, exhibition spaces, artisan workshops. Total amount of the project € 1,552,581.57.
“Many news and above all many good design ideas, together with prestigious partners, who have placed the municipal administration in the face of the choice to determine a new way
to communicate and enhance our territory “, explains Di Gioia.
Reception services will be enhanced and enhanced (Infopoint, Forestry and Catering) and green mobility inside the village.
“At the basis of the project, the presence on the territory of the multidisciplinary greenhouse festival around which to create synergies and partnerships useful for implementing the paradigms of the economy of the culture of innovation and tourism”, support administrators and professionals.
“Cerisano Factory is a path of urban regeneration aimed at improving urban, housing, socio-economic, environmental and cultural conditions through intervention tools developed with the involvement of the inhabitants and of interested public and private subjects. In the project thus developed, art and culture become the first tourist attraction in a place that stands as an experimentation space: the place where it will be possible to create creative, training and reception spaces “, it has been said.
Multiple interventions are planned. From the redevelopment with “Le Vie dell’EREMITA”, to the Museum of Arts and Library Michel Fingesten, passing through the Training Factory, Coworking and Residency of Artist up to Tourism 4.0 and investments in the area.
Also a new brand, among other things, which suggests another captivating and significant denomination: Cerisano Borgo Swing.
“The chosen brand represents the entrance of the Palazzo Serale, a historical place and of interest of the village, crossed by waves reminiscent of a pentagram, to symbolize on the one hand the creativity and strength of artistic expression in relation to infinity and, from ‘Other, the close link that links the community to its history, eager to welcome the tourist and the visitor with whom you want to grow and collaborate in perfect harmony to add value to the territory “, had the opportunity to anticipate Anna Infante who coordinates the project. But the waves are also the fil rouge of an administrative vision that makes Cerisano the first village of creativity, a forge of new innovation models through the arts, training and creation of business. In short, Cerisano, a village of creativity with a new identity between culture and tourism.
