Change at the top in ASD Cosenza K42: Antonio Maria Igor Cosma is the new president of the Cosenza athletics club, elected during the Ordinary Members’ Meeting held on Saturday 23 November in the meeting room of the Cosenza school field. Cosma, a 38-year-old management engineer native of Cittanova, is the 4th president of the bruzio team and succeeds Giovanni Mondera in office since 2018. Once the rituals of verifying powers were completed and the meeting was deemed valid, member Vincenzo Spizzirri was called to chair the meeting, assisted as secretary by member Massimo Ragusa. In his end-of-term report, the outgoing president, after having dutifully thanked his closest collaborators, highlighted the most characterizing competitive moments including the first and historic blue jersey worn by one of his own athletes, the former member Luca Ursano who was called up in 2021 in the under 23 national team; the prestigious entry into the ranking of companies entitled to register non-EU athletes, allowing the hiring of top runner Leonce Bukuru; the various regional records including the 4×100 cadet and absolute; the many golds and podiums achieved by master athletes at national level. Mondera’s strong emphasis refers to the paternity of the renewed school camp, the object on several occasions of repeated attempts at ideological theft perpetrated in an instrumental way and promptly rejected by the sender. In his first speech as president Antonio Cosma, thanking for the certificate of esteem and trust received, briefly mentioned some issues that the new governance will have to address including the reinvigoration of the master sector, referring the members to the usual and imminent meeting of end of the year (scheduled for Saturday 21 December) for a more comprehensive presentation of future programs. Also elected during the meeting were the councilors Daniele Percacciuolo (41 years old lawyer), Maurizio Leone (51 years old law enforcement officer), Ferdinando Ritrovato (52 years old doctor of physiotherapy), Antonio Perrone (45 years old pharmacist) and Alessandro De Rosa ( 47 years old archaeologist). Among the new directors, former president Mondera was also elected, on the recommendation of the outgoing board, with the task of governing the migration of operational processes to the new company management. In the next few days the convocation of the first Board of Directors will be held to define the new organizational chart
