On the occasion of the Cosenza-Salernitana football match, valid for the twelfth day of the Serie B championship and scheduled for Sunday, November 3, at 3 pm, at the San Vito-Marulla Stadium, the Municipal Police issued an ordinance to regulate the traffic around the area affected by the sporting eventso as to allow the inflow and outflow of fans in an orderly manner, quickly and without risks to public safety. The measure was necessary to comply with the request for specific regulation of road traffic on Viale Magna Grecia by the Cosenza Police Headquarters and recognized the need to adopt the same road provision in order to reconcile the needs of public order and safety and at the same time to guarantee the smooth running of sporting activities. In particular, a ban on vehicular and pedestrian transit on

• VIALE MAGNA GRECIA.

• VIA G.FORMOSO,

in the stretch between via Veterani dello Sport and viale Magna Grecia.

The Service Manager, having consulted the Director of Public Order of the Cosenza Police Headquarters, may extend or modify the provisions contained in the ordinance, based on emerging and unforeseeable needs for public order, safety, changes in traffic flows and other contingencies .

The following alternative routes are recommended:

-Vehicles coming from or going to Castrolibero will be able to travel along via Degli Stadi.

-Vehicles heading to Rende will be able to travel along via degli Stadi-via Panebianco.

-Vehicles coming from Rende will be able to travel via G. Marconi-Via Degli Stadi.

-To reach the stadium, pedestrians will necessarily have to walk along Via degli Stadi.

The Municipal Police also recommends, as far as possible, to set off in good time and reach the stadium if possible on foot, also considering the difficulties of reaching it by car due to the work in progress at the Città 2000 roundabout.
