A new update, in the 4th council commission, on the procedure for granting temporary use of school gyms, with the presence of some local sports organizations that complain about the management of this summer’s public notice and the related ranking, still in a provisional state, which does not reflect, also due to some criteria, the reality of the city’s sports panorama; There were 18 requests presented between June and July (including 2 that were inadmissible due to the lack of certain requirements) by the many sports organizations who in the city, for years now, have been complaining about a lack of suitable spaces for carrying out activities.
Specifically, the places in question are the gymnasium of the Gatti-Manzoni-Augruso IC, that of the Perri-Pitagora-Don Milani IC and that of the Ardito-Don-Bosco IC. As of today, in fact, we are still in the provisional ranking phase, so we need the definitive one after which the administration will be able to start the assignments. But the championships have already started, and others are about to start, “we had therefore asked for the exemption to use these spaces until the publication of the final ranking – explains the president of Ecosistem Lamezia Soccer, the five-a-side football team that plays in Serie A – but today this is not possible. The Municipality has drawn up a provisional ranking that in our opinion does not correspond to the reality of the facts, we have requested access to the documents and in our opinion some anomalies have emerged”.
