The Calabrian construction industry is reeling under the weight of a crisis largely caused by the failure to collect debts accrued over the last few years. And although more than 5 months have passed since the approval of the regional law “Interventions for the transfer of tax credits deriving from the energy efficiency of the building stock”, nothing has yet changed.
As you will remember, the measure launched at Palazzo Campanella was aimed at obtaining compensation of credits through regional public economic bodies (such as Sacal, Single Reclamation Consortium and Agency for the development of industrial areas) and the investee companies controlled by them. A measure therefore designed to stem the financial difficulties of those many companies which, after having applied the discount on the invoice and acquired the related tax credit pursuant to Legislative Decree 34/2020, continue to encounter great difficulties in monetizing it due to the congestion of the credit transfer system.
«Five months after the enactment of the law – he underlines Simone Celebresecretary of Fillea CGIL in Calabria – the regional government still continues to prevaricate by only making proclamations instead of starting, once and for all, to define the implementation methods of the law (the so-called guidelines), also including the activation of an online platform for monitoring credit transfers”.
