Russian missile and drone attacks in Ukraine, which began Friday evening and continued this morning, have left more than 600,000 people without electricity, the Ukrainian Energy Ministry announced. «As a result of the attack, more than 500,000 users in Kiev, more than 100,000 in the Kiev region and almost 8,000 in the Kharkiv region were left without electricity, «the Ministry said.

Meanwhile, on the political front, there is news recently that the presidential advisor and close ally of Volodymyr Zelensky, Andriy Yermak, has resigned after the search of his apartment as part of the investigation into a 100 million euro corruption scandal. This was reported by the Kiev media.

Zelensky praised Yermak, considered his right-hand man, but made clear that “there should be no reason to be distracted by anything other than the defense of Ukraine.”

According to some rumors, Yermak was preparing to leave for the USA for peace negotiations.
According to Axios, Yermak was scheduled to travel today “to Miami for talks with President Trump’s team on the peace plan.” Yermak, along with some of Zelensky’s advisors, was expected to “hold negotiations with US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witkoff.” The goal, according to Axios, was “to finalize the agreement between the United States and Ukraine before Witkoff and Kushner traveled to Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.”
Yesterday, investigators carried out searches of the presidential adviser’s office and his home as part of a broader investigation into the nuclear energy bribery scandal, allegedly run by an aide of the Ukrainian president who fled the country.
“The investigators have no obstacles,” Yermak said: “They had full access to the apartment. There is maximum collaboration on my part.”
