The wait for the new coach finally seems to have come to an end. Federico Coppitelli’s signature should arrive today, destined to become the new coach of the Sila team.
A step that has been awaited for several days now and which would allow the new technical course to be officially started just as the group finds itself in the city for the start of the season, with athletic tests and medical visits scheduled. The agreement with the coach now appears to be finalized and we are only waiting for the company’s announcement. Coppitelli brings with him a very specific footballing identity, built over the years especially in the youth sectors.
From a tactical point of view, the most used game systems are the 4-2-3-1 and the 4-3-3, modules that favor intensity, organization and development of the game on the external lanes. A philosophy that could also impact future market choices. After having targeted Antonio D’Alena, attention shifts to Dario Daka, an offensive winger born in 2004, former Primavera player at Lecce, who has returned to Trapani after a loan in Albania to KF Vora. A profile that Coppitelli knows very well and which could represent an ideal reinforcement for his technical project.
Meanwhile, work on releases also continues. Goalkeeper Thomas Vettorel is now a Lecco player, a permanent transfer (he gave up two months’ salary). However, the group of players destined to leave the club remains large. Several elements continue to be followed with interest by Serie B and C clubs: Rizzo Pinna, Florenzi, Mazzocchi, Caporale and Cimino. Also pay attention to the situation of Langella and Ciotti, who continue to be monitored by Pescara, led by former coach Buscè, ready to evaluate any opportunities over the next few weeks.
On the pre-season retreat front, however, the official status of San Giovanni in Fiore is still missing. Sports director Fabio Lucioni continues to evaluate possible alternatives. The doubts concern the synthetic grass pitch of the Sila structure, considered not entirely ideal for summer preparation. Finding a solution that meets the technical and logistical requirements, as well as guaranteeing the necessary availability in such a short time, appears increasingly complicated.
