Economic constraints. Palazzo dei Bruzi takes action and reduces the Tari. Or rather: reconsider its imposition regarding well-identified categories. The city council approved the new regulation with the votes of the majority and the abstention of the minority.
To explain its meaning and scope, the manager of the Taxes sector Carmelo Misiti specified that «the one brought to the approval of the Council is a first modification to the Tari regulation which brings our regulation closer to greater functionality and which provides a snapshot of the structures present in the area». But what changes substantially compared to the previous one?
«There are four overall changes that have been incorporated into the already approved tariff plan» explains Misiti «and which concern the identification of two new tariffs with regard to warehouses, both commercial and industrial, which are not rented and which tend to be less prone to the production of waste. For these categories”, specified the municipal manager, “a reduction of approximately 20% of the applicable tariff base has been identified. The second reduction concerns the introduction of a principle of equality, widespread throughout Italy, among all educational institutions, adapting the rules that apply to public institutions with private ones. The third is a real innovation that gives the possibility to all associations that pursue social objectives or direct help to families in terms of welfare, to pay only a portion of the fixed part of the Tari, while they can benefit from a total exemption for the variable part”.
