Now that the municipal council chaired by the mayor, Franz Caruso, has approved the technical and economic feasibility project of the project financing for the management of the parking areas in the area, the issue relating to the Portapiana plant, which has been restored for some time now but has never come into operation, could also be resolved.
Yet it would stem an atavistic problem, linked to the large amount of traffic that occurs in the area, since cars often remain parked along the road near the “Giacomantonio” Conservatory and the church dedicated to Santa Maria della Sanità, especially on the occasion of some religious ceremony or when the city’s major musical institute organizes recitals.
