Catanzaro: return to the past and, perhaps, to the future. Since yesterday, thanks to the forced closure of Viale dei Normanni, the direction of travel on Corso Mazzini has changed.
A great classic for the city: practically all the municipal administrations that have taken turns at the helm of Palazzo De Nobili in the last 40 or 50 years, for one reason or another, have changed the direction of travel of the main street. On several occasions, especially during the various administrations led by Sergio Abramo, the choice was dictated by the desire to encourage the arrival (and stay, sic!) of cars and therefore of potential consumers for the shops in the historic center.
