«European countries and Italy are among the countries least affected by the closure of Hormuz, the oil that arrives in Italy via Hormuz is around 5% of our needs and is, in quotes, easily available elsewhere. The biggest problem is the liquid gas that arrives from Qatar which is around 25% of our needs, which can also be covered from other parts: for us, in short, it is not so much a problem of supply sources as of the price that has risen”.

Defense Minister Guido Crosetto said this in an interview with «Mattino 5» on Canale 5. «After the Ukrainian crisis – the minister recalled – we have organized ourselves in such a way as to have more sources of supply, we continue to have what we need but we pay much more for it. At the moment the problem is the price, not finding it.”
