“The important thing is to preserve harmony and sharing in the majority groups, this is more important than a rigid division of the boxes that belong to one or the other list.” Mayor Vincenzo Voce is calm as he walks along Corso Vittorio Veneto. He is approached by some citizens who shake his hand and congratulate him on his reconfirmation as mayor in the vote on Sunday and Monday. Voce is headed to the nearby Municipality building where meetings have been underway for days to define the future city government that will support the re-elected mayor for the next 5 years.
“Harmony and unity, competence and professionalism”, the words that the mayor repeats, while speaking, but without going into the merits, of the ongoing negotiations with the allies of the coalition, on the names that will make up the council or on who will be the president of the municipal council.
