Cycling, young promise Simone Roganti dies: struck by illness in his home in Spoltore

Simone Roganti, young cyclist of MG Kvis – Colors for Peace, died suddenly at the age of 21. On the evening of August 22, around 10:30 pm, he suffered a cardiac arrest in his home in Spoltore, in the province of Pescara. Despite the immediate intervention of his parents and rescue workers, it was not possible to save him.

Roganti, who turned 21 on August 25, andhe was a promising cyclist with a bright future ahead of him. Before joining his current team, he had competed for two seasons with UM Tools D’Amico. In 2023 he had achieved notable results, including a second place in the general classification of the Giro del Veneto and a seventh place in the Italian Under 23 championship. In 2024 he had participated in the Giro della Valle d’Aosta with the blue jersey, finishing tenth.

Cycling was a family tradition for Simone: his father Fabiano and his uncles Fabrizio and Federico (the latter involved in the Giro d’Italia as a motorcyclist for RCS radio information) also had a past in the world of two wheels.
