The Catanzaro district investigating judge rejected the requests for conditional summary proceedings proposed by the defense of the accused, and committed Francesco Iannazzo cl.55, Giovanna Rizzo, Pierdomenico Iannazzo, Antonio Iannazzo, Vincenzo Iannazzo, Pierdomenico Iannazzo, Francesco Iannazzo cl.02, Emanuele Iannazzo, Francesco Amantea, Giuseppe Ruffo, Debora Iannazzo, all accused in various capacities mafia association, extortion, usury, fictitious registration of goods.
While as regards the position of Mario Gattini, the investigating judge, in accepting the request for territorial incompetence, removed the position and sent the documents to the investigating judge of Lamezia Terme. The ordinary trial for all the accused will begin in Lamezia Terme on 7 July. In the defense panel the lawyers Salvatore Staiano, Leopoldo Marchese, Renzo Andricciola, Giuseppe Spinelli, Salvatore Cerra, Giovanna Mazzei, Vincenzo Visciglia, Antonio Larussa.
